Red Roof Inn Benton Harbor - St. Joseph, Benton Harbor

The hotel was conveniently located near downtown, close to restaurants and shopping options, making it suitable for my needs. The rooms, while a bit small and smelling of cigarette smoke, offered a nice price point. The service from the friendly staff members, including the manager, front desk clerk, housekeeping staff, and maintenance team, were exceptional and made my stay pleasant.

My stay at the hotel was a mixed experience. The rooms, although they still smelled bad like straight-up smoke and were not the cleanest, were adequate for a small hotel or motel. The service, especially from the friendly staff who were willing to do everything to make my stay pleasant, was a highlight. The location, while close to the downtown area and not too far from the beach, had some sketchy aspects. The dining options needed improvement, and the facilities were just okay.

The hotel's location was awesome, in a congested area close to downtown Benton Harbor. While the staff was very nice and helpful, the room smelled a little like tobacco and lacked upkeep. The dining experience needed a little help, but the pastries were indulgent. On the downside, the alarm clock went off at midnight, and there was late-night disturbance outside.
